HOW IT WORKS

STEP 1: IT STARTS WITH A CONVERSATION

You've made it this far, welcome. Before moving to the next step, we ask for some basic details about you and the type of story you want to tell in your film. You can share some basic details here. Then we find a convenient time for you to connect with one of our creative directors. Here, we want to develop a deeper understanding of your story. After this first meeting, we share a proposal with you which outlines how we can move forward and tell your story. Once you're happy to proceed, we move on to step two.

  • Our mission is to deliver and delight. We know most groups we work with have some budget constraints and no inhouse film team (or one that’s at full capacity). So we keep our prices reasonable. Good planning is essential for this.

We plan every step of the process in detail with you, to make sure that our creative team spends time efficiently crafting your story into a film, not haplessly billing you because of bad planning.

  • Our creative director works with you to identify who the audience is? What's the story you want to tell them and what's the call to action. When somebody’s watched either the full film or a smaller social media friendly edit, what do you want them to do? It could be you want them to join an advocacy campaign. You might just be trying to convince them of a particular position. Or it could be a fundraising pitch and you’d like them to donate to your campaign. Whatever the key message is, we’ll make sure the entire For Good Films team is working towards the same goal as you.

  • This is where it gets exciting. Once we’ve got an outline of what’s important to the story, we plan the video shoot. This involves storyboarding. The process is a continuation of our diligent planning. It helps our videographers know what to shoot while on location.

Then on the agreed time the videographers come out with the cameras, lights, and microphones to begin filming.

We'll share a memo with you ahead of time, outlining what the videographer will be shooting, how long the interviews will be, and what you should expect

  • Once the filming is over and we've collected all the footage you want to share, we move to the final phase of production. Our editors work with the creative director to edit a film that will engage your audience.

We present a first draft for you to review, and the creative director works with the editor on your feedback. We present a final draft to you and the project is over.

As part of our promise to you, if you're not happy with the final draft and we can't edit it to a standard you love, you owe us nothing. We simply won't invoice you.

  • Your story is told. You can share it with world for years to come.
